This guide walks you through downloading, installing, and setting up the Reolink mobile app on your smartphone or tablet for remote viewing and management of your DVR security cameras.

Step 1: Download the Reolink Mobile App

Download the official Reolink mobile app on your smartphone or tablet from the appropriate app store:

Step 2: Initial App Launch

When launching the Reolink app for the first time:

1. Tap Start to begin setup.

2. Read and tap Agree to accept the Terms of Service.

3. When prompted, tap Allow or Don’t Allow to receive notifications.

3. When prompted, tap Allow or Don’t Allow to receive critcal alerts.

Why camera access is needed: Granting camera access allows you to scan QR codes on Reolink devices for quick setup, take snapshots from live feeds, and record or share footage directly from your mobile device.

Step 3: Add Your DVR System

1. Tap + Add New Device” 

2. Select “Enter Manually”

3. Enter the UID number that was provided to you.

Note: The UID is a unique ID tied to your DVR system and can usually be found on the DVR itself or in the documentation provided by your technician.

Step 4: Log In to Your DVR

After entering the UID:

  1. You’ll be prompted to log in using the username and password provided to you.
  2. Once logged in successfully, you will be able to view your camera feeds, recordings, and adjust settings as needed.

Tips for Using the Reolink Mobile App

  • Live View: Tap any camera to watch a real-time feed.

  • Playback: Use the Playback option to review recorded footage.

  • Push Notifications: Enable notifications in both app settings and your device settings to receive alerts.

  • Two-Way Audio (if supported): Use the microphone icon to communicate through cameras that support audio.
